So now you know what to get heres how you do:

1.Cut the fletching 12×12 Paper 14cmx 14cm
2.Edge the paper with a copper krylan pen or you could edge with clear ink and sprinkle on copper embossing powder and heat it with a heat gun.
3. Use Doube tape to stick it to the brown Card
4. Ink Swirls a over with the clear ink sprinkle on the copper embossing powder. Tap off any excess and heat it with the heat gun.
5. Stamp the Marlon Brando in Sepia Ink onto the cream card and then cut it to size.

Elvis Las Vegas Card

By admin On October 13, 2009 No Comments

When making men’s cards it is always difficult to come up with a new theme, this card adds a touch of old fashioned glamour while still being a masculine card, perfect for the aging rocker!

Using the clear stamps available exclusively at Simply Craft they make for perfect positioning allowing you to pre cut the layers with the confidence that the stamp will fit perfectly.

For best results when stamping it is important to choose an ink like Staz on especially on acetate to ensure it dries.

Materials used:

Elvis clear stamp exclusive to Simply Craft

Acrylic block

A4 sheet of black card

12 x 12 sheet of Sandylion ‘Vegas nightlife’ (cut into 19.5cm x 13cm)

Black card cut into size 8cm x 11cm

Linen silver card cut into size 10cm x 7cm

Acetate cut into size 10cm x 7cm

4 star shaped brads

Silver stickles glitter glue

Black Staz on ink

Die cut alphabet words – Viva Las Vegas – (I have used Cricut machine and cartridge ‘Storybook’)

Double sided sticky pads

Double sided sticky tape

PVA glue and cocktail stick

Fold the A4 black card in half, this is your base card (turn horizontal). Layer Vegas Nightlife paper onto this.
Stamp Elvis onto the acetate and use the brads to attach this to the silver linen and black card.
With double sided sticky pads attach Elvis image to the left hand side of the card.
Glue the words ‘Viva Las Vegas’ to the right hand side with PVA glue.
Add tiny little dots of silver stickles glitter glue to the letters to look like tiny lights on the wording.

Top tips

A cocktail stick is an ideal little tool for adding tiny dabs of glue to the lettering, too much glue will spoil the design. The cocktail stick is also great for adding the glitter glue if you are worried about being too heavy handed.

Before sticking down the wording place them out onto the card first, it can be all too easy to run out of space before you get to the end of the word!

Marilyn Card

When making men’s cards it is always difficult to come up with a new theme, this card adds a touch of old fashioned glamour while still being a masculine card, as Marilyn Monroe sang happy birthday to President Kennedy.
Using the clear stamps available exclusively at Simply Craft they make for perfect positioning allowing you to pre cut the layers with the confidence that the stamp will fit perfectly.
For best results when stamping it is important to choose an ink like Staz On or Versafine to get the fine detail on our stamps.

Materials used:
Marilyn clear stamp exclusive to Simply Craft
Acrylic block
A4 sheet of black card
Silver card cut to size 15cm x 11cm
Smooth white card cut into 10cm x 14cm
Black line peel off stickers (goldlabel 633)
Black music note peel off stickers (gold label 592)
Black Happy Birthday peel off stickers (goldlabel 642)
Black Staz on ink
Diamond acrylic gems (small round and heart shape)
Glossy accents
White marabou feather
Double sided tape
New red sakura glaze pens (code 822)

1. Fold the A4 black card in half this is your base card.
2. Stamp the Marilyn image on the top half of the smooth white card (I chose smooth white as this will give the best impression).
3. Stick the black peel off lines around the edge of the white card, and then use the music notes and birthday words underneath the Marilyn stamp.
4. Mount the Marilyn image onto the silver card and attach this to the base card all with double sided tape.
5. Attach some thin double sided tape to one side of a marabou feather and trim away at the spine, you then have a trim of feather on tape, remove the other side of the sticky tape and attach to the neckline of the Marilyn image.Marilyn Card
